Your assessment answers can be personal. This notice separates what happens during the free assessment from what happens when a paid report is requested.

Assessment and report data
- Free assessment: Your 15 choices and the limited preview are processed in your browser. Your choices and progress are saved in this browser’s local storage so you can resume after closing a tab or browser. They are not sent to our application server during the free assessment. A snapshot last saved over 7 days ago is discarded when you next open the page. Switching browsers or devices does not transfer your progress.
- Starting paid checkout: The completed answers are sent to the Night Voyage backend to prepare a persistent paid report. The backend encrypts the answers and question sequence before storing them in its database. The report is derived from that archive when you open it; no separate rendered copy is stored. Stripe receives the product and a random order marker, not your assessment answers.
- Paid report access: An opaque access link gives access to the stored report. Anyone who obtains that link may be able to open it, so keep it private. The service records minimal access timestamps and a count for security and delivery support, without writing your IP address or email address into the report database.
The report automatically derives relative scores, evidence links, and possible scenarios from your selected options. These are self-reflection inferences, not decisions with legal or similarly significant effects, and they are not a clinical assessment.
Payments and technical data
Stripe hosts the payment page and collects payment and any contact or billing details it asks for under its own Privacy Policy. Night Voyage creates a Checkout Session and checks its status, amount, currency, and product marker. Our application does not store card numbers or use a payment email to send the report. A Stripe Session response may contain contact information, but the current payment code does not save it to the report database.
For payment reconciliation, the backend stores a keyed, non-reversible identifier derived from the Checkout Session and order marker, together with payment status and update time. It also stores the policy version accepted at checkout and its acceptance time. The Site’s hosting and payment providers may process routine connection information, such as IP address and device data, to deliver and secure their services; those providers set their own log-retention practices.
The site does not run advertising analytics or set an application tracking cookie. If you accept the cookie notice, the site stores that preference in your browser’s local storage; closing the notice without accepting lasts only for the current page session. Essential authentication or security cookies may be used by the hosting provider while the Site is private, and Stripe may use cookies on its checkout domain.
Why we process it
We process answers to provide the assessment and, if purchased, the report requested by the user. We process payment and access records to deliver paid access, prevent misuse, reconcile payments, respond to disputes, and comply with applicable legal obligations. Where the GDPR applies, these purposes generally rely on steps requested before a contract, performance of a contract, legal obligations, and legitimate interests in service security and payment reconciliation, as applicable.
We do not sell assessment answers or share them for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not currently send them to an external AI model or use them for email marketing. Adding AI processing, email delivery, or materially different storage would require an updated notice before those features are used.
Retention and deletion
Free-assessment answers and progress are stored in this browser’s local storage to allow recovery after closing a tab or browser. A snapshot last saved over 7 days ago is discarded when the page next opens. Starting a new assessment replaces the saved progress. You can also clear it through your browser’s site-data controls. Starting checkout creates an encrypted answer archive even if you do not finish paying. An unpaid archive expires after 30 days. Once payment is confirmed, report access lasts for three calendar years from checkout creation. Expired archives are inaccessible and are deleted on the next report read or lookup, or when a later checkout triggers cleanup; if no such event occurs, physical deletion can happen later than the access-expiry date. You can erase a paid archive earlier through the deletion control on its private report link. Losing the link may make self-service access and deletion impossible; support may request proof that you control the relevant payment before acting on a request.
The application retains a keyed payment-reconciliation status record while its report exists. After the report is deleted or expires, the status record is removed during a later checkout cleanup if it has not been updated for three years. It may therefore persist past the report’s access-expiry date until that cleanup runs. Stripe keeps its own transaction records under its separate obligations and retention practices.
Providers, transfers, and rights
Night Voyage uses Cloudflare for application delivery and encrypted report storage, and Stripe for payments. Processing may involve countries other than yours. Contact support for information about the applicable provider agreements and transfer arrangements.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also have a right to complain to a data-protection authority. For California residents, applicable rights may include knowing, deleting, correcting, and limiting certain uses of personal information without discrimination for exercising those rights. These rights have legal exceptions.
Send privacy requests to support@dogai.online. To protect a paid report from unauthorized access or deletion, the operator may ask you to prove control of the report link or corresponding Stripe transaction. Do not send a full card number or assessment answers for this purpose.
